What is Amber?

AMBER

Amber is fossilized tree resin. This is copal, a soft amber, and it comes from Colombia, South America.
Amber can be used in jewelry. It often contains insects, leaves, pollen and even bacteria!
Amber is found in many places including: The Baltic, Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Lebanon, Canada, Greenland, & the US.
Geologists suspect it came from a catastrophic worldwide flood and was carried by water.

While secular scientists tell us amber dates from 25-135 million yrs. ago, insects & animals that are alive today have been found in amber. Bacteria have survived inside of amber. This casts serious doubt that amber is millions of yrs old. The more likely scenario for its formation is the global flood as recorded in the Bible. During the flood heat from volcanic activity heated the water which, along with the damage the trees suffered from the catastrophe, caused the resin to run in the trees. Amber formed when the trees(which turned into lignite) were buried as a result of the Genesis flood. Genesis 6-9
